Barnsley and Bentley

Barnsley and his puppy Bentley are made from Sassy long pile fabric. Barnsley’s fur has a tan base with white hairs. Bentley’s legs and ears are of the same fabric, but he has a plain tan head and body. Barnsley’s paw pads are of Ultra-suede. Disk and cotter pin jointed, while Bentley has a disk and cotter pin neck joint and thread jointed legs. Both are stuffed with Poly-fil with steel shot added to Barnsley. Barnsley wears a brown checked ribbon around his neck. Barnsley is 3” sitting. Bentley is 1 5/8” standing.

Let's Go Play . . . Mama is 17" tall and made from long curly golden mohair. Mama wears her knit sweater and hat made of ribbons, flowers and lace. Baby is 9" tall and made from pink mohair with a brown under coating. She wears a vest. Best friend Ducky is 8" tall and made of a golden touched mohair with a felt beak.

Rags and Riches are 8" tall and made with German mohair. Shaded wool felt inner ears, paw pads and stitched claws. German glass eyes and have black embroidered noses. 5-way disc jointed and filled with poly-fil and stone pellets. Rags is wearing a worn leather hat, denim jeans and a twine ribbon with a small "Love" heart around his neck. He carries his few possessions in his bindle on a branch stick. Riches is sporting a pin stripe top hat adorned with crystal beaded buttons and hat pin. He has a matching lined vest, silk cuffs and a lace cravat with a 'diamond' brooch. Hand made cane with a glass faceted bead top.

The Gypsy's Quest measures 18" long. Ed and Petar travel everywhere together! Ed the 4" tall polar bear is made of alpaca and is fully jointed and wired. The 7" long vardo is based on a traditional style, completely hand made by the artists' husband. Hand painted by the artist herself. Wagon is driven by a 2" tall, fully jointed gypsy bear named Petar. 
He is made of upholstery fabric.

Fairies of China One is 9.5" tall and the other 8.5" Both are OOAK. Made from German Mohair. Fully jointed. Stuffed with Poly-fill. Green embroidered noses on a trimmed muzzle. Each wears an embroidered wool jacket and silk pants.

The Goldfinch

Entry is based on the famous novel "The Goldfinch" by Donna Tartt. Interpretation of the picture of Carel Fabritius, 1654, which is the basis of the book. The picture and Maltese Popper were accompanied by the main character in a very difficult period of his life. Hand painted faux fur, Fimo noses and glass eyes. The two animals can change the pose. Maltese is 10" (25cm) tall and has a plastic skeleton and double joined neck. The bird 4" (10cm) tall and has flexible legs. Black wood frame with copper perch. Dog wears a red leather collar.

Edwina is 9” tall OOAK made from Schulte mohair with antique boot button eyes and an open mouth with a red and blue glitter nose. Her patriotic print dungarees are made from 100% cotton and the jacket from a vintage hand dyed piece of pure wool blanket with red blanket stitching. Edwina is accompanied by her purchased kitty.

Australia's Coat of Arms with a Kangaroo and an Emu which both are 8" (20cm) tall. Made from sassy and synthetic fur. Stuffed with wool. Glass eyes; Kangaroo's are black the emu has buzzard eyes.
The emu has a polymer clay beak and feet. Roo has a polymer nose.
Total vignette measure 19.5" wide (50cm) with the crest printed on wood. The Australian native plant, yellow wattle is hand made gluing little pom poms to sticks. Tradition has it that the kangaroo and emu were chosen to represent Australia as they are unable to walk backwards.

Bedtime for Pickle and Sleepyhead? No way - we’re not tired!
11” alpaca mohair twin cubs have droopy eyes and needle-sculpted faces. Embroidered noses. Glass eyes with Sculpey eyelids. Ultra-suede paws, 5-way jointed, filled with poly fill and beads for weight. Hand made pajamas: smocking detail on Sleepyhead’s cotton cami and full detailing on Pickle’s flannels. Rainbow crochet blankie and bunny are also hand made.

Théodore and Barnabé OOAK captures a moment of complicity between father and son. Barnabé is 14" tall and wears a hat hand made with felt. Théodore is 9" tall and wears a hand made felt vest. Both are made of the same golden beige mohair and filled with cotton wool and mineral pellets. Faces have been scissor sculpted, noses are shaped polymer clay. 5-way jointed and have hand made wire armatures in their arms allow them to pose.

Owl Family OOAK are both made from a combination of faux fur and mohair. Mama owl is dressed and carrying a baby bear, while baby pulls a wood train. Both have wired legs and feet. Glass eyes.

Sleepyhead and Snuggles
Snuggles is 13" tall and made of dense blue with white tipped faux fur. Needle felted muzzle and nose. Glass eyes. 6-way jointed with cotter pins, and a double neck joint. Hand made felt hat. Sleepyhead is 6" tall and made of light blue mohair. Needle felted muzzle and nose with glass eyes with eye whites. 5-way jointed with cotter pins and needle felted paw pads. Both bears are stuffed with poly-fil and glass granules for weight.
