Welcome to the Spring Stars Show!

Greetings everyone!

I'm Becky Wheeler, residing in the chilly state of Minnesota. Given our long and frigid winters, working with furry fabrics has become a cherished practice. For over three decades,

I have been crafting miniature bears and animals, infusing each creation with my unique designs.

To ensure precision, I rely on surgical tools during the meticulous process. Every bear I produce is lovingly hand-sewn, with a little 3" tall bear requiring nearly 1,000 stitches.

My range spans from half an inch tall bear to 6" tall ones, allowing for a creative variety. While I utilize a diverse selection of materials, vintage upholstery velvet holds a special place in my heart. This exquisite fabric originates from the 1960's - 70's, lending

a timeless charm to my creations. I enjoy incorporating vintage and antique trims, further enhancing the character of my pieces.

The recognition and accolades bestowed upon my bears are numerous, including
18 prestigious Toby and Golden Teddy Awards.

	The Brave The overall size of this set is 2" tall and 4 1/2" long. All four figures are 1" tall, jointed with onyx eyes. The firefighters wear hand-sewn Ultra-suede coats and hats. Sparky the dog is hand-sewn Ultra-suede with painted spots. When the button in the back of the fire truck is pushed in, the red light flashes and the headlights come on.

Fishing Buddies Dad bear is teaching his son to fish. The resin boat is 1"tall and 4 1/2"wide. The lettering on the side of the boat says, "The worst day fishing is still better than a good day at work." The bears measure 2" and 1 1/4" tall. They are hand-sewn, fully jointed with onyx eyes. Both wear Ultra-suede vests and hats with metal fishing lures I have made. They have wooden fishing poles and resin fish. The boat has oars, rope and creel. Bears are removable. Magical Tea Party

This set is 5" tall and features a fine English china teacup with the romantic rose pattern.

The teacup is suspended in air with a wire support and pours a stream of satin roses and leaves, crystals, and antique cream corset flowers that are over 120 years old.

The saucer base has a resin tea set, table
and chairs that I have painted.

The artist porcelain doll is 1" tall, fully dressed and has individual legs and soft curly hair.

The bear is 1" tall jointed of hand-sewn velvet. The base is covered with venetian lace.

Figures are removable.

Megan is a 3 1/2" tall bear that is hand-sewn
from pink mohair.

German glass eyes, a sculpted nose

and is 5-way jointed.

She wears a felt jacket I have embroidered to match her dress. There are pink and lavender flowers, leaves and a green chain stitch border.

She is self standing in black shoes
with silk roses.

Her puppy is 1" tall made of hand-sewn velvet,

is 5-way jointed and has a gold chain leash.

Tea for Three? Kitty has decided to join the bears for tea. The two bears are 1" tall with antique trims. They are hand-sewn, fully jointed with onyx eyes. The pink bear is hand-dyed. The cups are filled with resin tea I have made. The chairs and table are made of antique bone china with flowers and hand painted leaves. The kitty is 7/8" tall, jointed with a wired tail.
